Gracious east side probably has the best overall selection uptown. Crate & Barrel has a few. Someone on etsy is probably doing custom -- worth a check.

DD1 is having a hard time finding a shower curtain. Several on etsy do custom versions.

Mtn, I've purchased very pretty high-end shower curtains from ABC (which, btw, are still unused and sitting in the linen closet,5 years after the fact!) and I've browsed lovely ones at Gracious. But IMHO, the best overall selection of shower curtains are to be found at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It doesn't get any more complicated or expensive than that! :-)

What I meant to say in the last line of my post was: It doesn't have to get any more complicated or expensive than that! (Of course, I know you know that already). :-)

I'll also add on here, though, that BBB has 14 pages of online shower curtain offerings. In quickly browsing through them, I saw several I thought might be particularly appropriate for a girls bath. Still, not knowing the age of your girls, theme, palette or material preferences, I could either be spot on or way off. So, check 'em out!

Crate and Barrel has some nice Marimekko ones now.

If you are in NYC and find yourself on the Upper West Side, try Laytner's Linens on Bway diagonally across from Barnes & Noble. If it's a bust, you can go to Zabar's instead : ).

What sort of look are you going for in the bathroom, mtnrdredux? That might help?

I've made DD1 two shower curtains from sheets. Very easy. I always use button hole foot for her hooks. She needs an extra long one in her current rental.

DD2 has yet to buy a patterned curtain for her guest bath. Can't find what she wants.

On etsy, be sure to search "Handmade" for "Shower Curtains."

LOL I'd just call Duschqueen. It's probably easier to find a glass door or partition installed for that shower and will save Mom's time having to hunt for a replacement every few years.

I bought a very pretty shower curtain at target 100% cotton I think it was around $20. It is a pale turquoise/violet paisley. I bought this in the store but you can also check on line

After searching for days and days, I found a nice shower curtain for my MIL's bathroom at her B&B on Martha's Vineyard at Vita Futura online. They have nice, bright graphics and clean uncluttered designs.
