I am not sure how big is your kitchen, but I paid $4000 for installation. I would look around.

I can't remember the exact number, but our installation was over $3000.

My small kitchen 10 x 10 plus island would have been $1700 installation just for the cabinets. I got six quotes for cabs and the installations were all in that ball park.

I don't think it is unreasonable if it is new construction and all they are doing is hanging them up... that is only a few days of work at most... no gutting, clean up, prep work... should be an easy job. We paid one guy $250 a day to help us hang our cabinets... it only took a few days but we paid for a few more to as we ran into electrical and plumbing problems we were hoping to do later so he was worth every penny.

I'd ask for references and go look at other work he's done.

sounds reasonable. We waived our installation fee by having our contractor and my husband do the install. Hopefully, by next weekend I can post the pictures.

1300 is a pretty fair price actually, but they have to do a good job though.

Installation is not just about hanging them up on the wall. (Even if the walls were straight and the floor level. Hah!) A good installation makes all the difference. Especially since the cabinets usually get a little racked during shipping. I'd make sure the guy knew what he was doing.
