Happy New Year.

While cleaning up my sewing area this week, I found some sewing machine needles, still in their cases--Kenmore Green #18 and Red #14. I was able to find out what the red ones worked best for, but not on the green. Is anyone familiar with these needles?

Also, is there a shelf life for them? I would guess no, but you never know. I'm guessing they could be as old as 20 yrs.

And finally, they look just like Schmetz needles, so I'm guessing they would work on my Viking (Platinum 750).
