I'm tired of dealing with my bed, comfortors, duvets, bedspreads - no more.

No one sees it anyway. But I still want it to look a "little" nice. I like sleeping under light covers and would rather layer as I tend to kick off or add on from a chair by the bed. Usually I start and stay with 1 vellux blanket.

They are sort of nylon velvet glued to yellow foam. Soft, light.

I was thinking of taking two of these blankets of different colors and sew them together in a large pattern (not quilty) and try to make it look like a bedspread, that doubled as my blanket.

What do you think? Can you sew that stuff so it will hang together or will the yellow foam just rip out pretty fast. Honestly it doesn't seem that durable.
