I have an Ellure that I bought about 4 1/2 years ago for $999, when they started a nationwide promotion and dropped the price from about $1999. As far as I know it's never gone back up to the previous price.

I don't use the embroidery feature as much as I thought I would, but I have used it some and I've been happy with the stitch quality and user-friendliness. I don't have the Card Works program so I can't comment on how it would work with that.

It has a wonderful straight stitch, but if I had known how much quilting I was going to be doing I probably would have gotten something else. I was never able to get it to do free-motion quilting to my complete satisfaction.
