That's a really good idea!
I don't remember where I saw them, but some place sells sheet sets that are attached at the bottom.
I have always hated when the the top sheet came away from the blankets(I always ended up with the sheet, my DH got the blankets), so I use the top sheet and some matching fabric or another sheet to make a comforter cover.

I have the opposite problem! I can't find any sheets that aren't those "deep pocket" ones for pillow top mattresses. Depending on the sheets, I have to tuck as much as 12" in around the sides so they don't hang out under my bedspread. And the fitted sheets never lay flat because that corner is stitched so deep. Oh, for a regular size set of sheets again...

I like to get my sheets at macys where i can buy singles,not sets.So i get a queen bottom and a king top,then i buy another king to make pillowcases,valances etc.I wait til they have the sale,any size for 9.99

I have an adjustable twin bed. top & bottom never stay
in. So I bought 2 fitted bottoms and 1 top.
put some elastic to go under the mattress about 10 " from
each end on 1 bottom sheet. it stays put.
altered the other fitted sheet to fitted on one end & not
the other. Cut off what I needed from the top sheet & added
to the unfitted end(using the nice big hem. Used leftover
for pillow cases. Not quite as wide as I like but but
it works fine for me.

I add a piece to the bottom of the blankets I use on my camper bed, because they don't stay tucked in. I am going to do it to the blankets on my bed in the house, because they are so short they don't come up around my shoulders if I tuck them in far enough to stay tucked in.
