Hi Kathi, I do remember you telling us about your paint rack. That worked out really good for you.

I invested in one of those canvas creations that hang on the wall with lots of little pockets. It looks good and holds allot but I don't like it. Pockets are too deep and too tight, so I have to use both hands to get the bottle out. Your's looks much more user friendly.

Just recently, a friend gave me a really nice wooden carousel one that sits on the floor and holds paint bottles on all four sides. It's really nice, but would be so much better if I had counter space for it so it would be easier to get the bottles quickly without having to get off my stool. I'll have to snap a picture to show you. Right now it seems more like a good dust catcher, but I hesitate to not keep it since it could be the perfect thing if I ever move somewhere else.

I looked at some wooden boxes with grids similar to yours inside, but they were pretty expensive. We're your's hard to take apart? I'll have to price them and maybe catch them when I could use a 40% off coupon. They look like they would work really well. (Although, I'd probably never get mine labeled, but at least I could see the colors.)

Actually what i meant to say is that the reply you made to me here,came to my email as i have that box checked,because i sometimes forget to come back here.

Kathi, I finally remembered to post pics of the paint racks I mentioned. I think your's would work better than either of these. I like the idea of them being wall mounted and being able to pull the bottles out easily.

Luvs you have the start of some good wall racks there.If i were you i would take them apart,take that part that has the holes in it for the paint,get some wood and make it like a box,so it looks almost like what you have there already.Kinda like a shadow box,and mount them on the wall.Easy Peasy!!! If you need more,you could even use the main piece as a pattern for some more.Recycle,reuse,isn't that the name of the game.

Oh my gosh, Kathi. I never even thought about that. Since the wooden one is so well made and spins around, it would be a shame to tear it apart. (Maybe I'll have the perfect place for it on a counter in my next home.) But the design of it sure could be used to make wall holders. Actually just drilling the right size holes in a piece of wood and boxing it in like you said. Hmm, guess I'll add that to my to do list. Maybe DH would even help. And you know what? If they had a back and sides on them, you could even lift them off the wall and carry them somewhere like a drawer. Not a bad idea at all Kathi. ;o) Luvs

Sure,keep an eye out for some shallow drawers at yard sales etc and you'll have the makings of a good paint rack,or 2.
