What colors prevail in your home now? Are you drawn to warm or cool tones? In the 22 years we have been married our master bedroom has gone through the most color changes. As a young bride I used fabrics and colors from my wedding to decorate our first bedroom. At our groom's dinner we were given a memory quilt all our family and friends contributed to. I used it on our bed and made curtains and pillows to match. When kids came along I put it away so it wouldn't be ruined. I made a box quilt for our room in a new color scheme. When that look was tired I struggled mightily. I ended up back with our wedding tones, and using the quilt above our low headboard hanging from a quilt rack along the ceiling edge. My bedroom is for memories, not high style. I have an entire wall of 5/7's of my kid's yearly pictures 6mos-6th grade. Now if I could just bite the bullet and spend the time to get rid of the 70's wall paper on all four walls!!

My colors are a mix of warm and cool. Mostly everything is warm except my bedroom with attached bathroom and our other full bathroom. My bedroom is a light baby blue color right now. I love it but I think I am ready for a change. Like I said, I can go either way warm or cool. The furniture is a dark wood so I can't go too dark. We have only been in the house 6 years and I have had the bedroom the baby blue color all this time. Maybe a change would be nice to go along with the new furniture. My bedroom is not high style but I want it to look inviting and comfortable for my husband and I.

My bedroom is SW Dried Thyme with very light carpet. I love it. New bedroom furniture is on "the list", but we haven't purchased it yet. It will be dark wood though. My plan was to use ivory bedding with red-idh accents in the room.

Ok, Dh and I have decided to leave the room painted as it is right now in the baby blue color. I do like the color and everyone else loves it to when they see it. If anyone can suggest a bright colored contemporary style bedroom comforter set to go with the baby blue walls that would be great. I looked at JC Penneys but didn't really see anything contemporary to go with the color.
