I also like Slate Blend - I was wondering if it might be better for our house than Colonial Slate? - more red sprinkled throughout which might tie better to both the brick and the green shutters.

Another issue...we are in Washington DC area and Slate Bend is not officially offered here - its a CertainTeed Northeast color, as is Pewterwood. So we would have to pay more to have it shipped down here. We're apparently considered southeast region - Colonial Slate and Pewter are CertainTeed Southeast colors.

We just had the Slate Blend put on... it is gorgeous! That bit of red really makes a difference.

We have red brick with Colonial Slate, and you really cannot go wrong with that as it is a classic look. However, the Slate Blend looks fabulous. I also seriously considered Driftwood, but it was a little too brown.

I also like Georgetown Gray and Grantham(?) Gray...Any of the medium grays, similar to what you have now, will be pretty.

Yes, Driftwood is a grayish/brown. We have it on our home. Here is an old photo taken at dusk, so it will be hard to see the true color, but it may go well with your brick, but I am thinking that the Slate Gray is a better fit..

I've loved Driftwood when I've seen it in pictures on other houses. In fact it always looks gray to me rather than brown in contrast to brick. But when I tried it on our house using CertainTeed Colorview it looked a little too brown.

Re: slate blend vs. colonial slate...soliciting a bit more advice...it seems that slate blend might be at least a little bit better for our house. Just wondering how much better and would it be worth the extra trouble and $$s to get the slate blend to Virginia.

The Driftwood in my above photo looks more gray, and I guess it is, but does have brown flecks in it. On sunny days and when the roof is wet, the brown really shows more. Cloudy days or at dusk, it is more brown. Since we used both colors out of our brick for trim and paint, it all blends together.

I took a look at the samples. Really hard to tell from the photos, but the Colonial Slate does seems to be a bit light versus the Slate Blend. Only you can decide if it is worth the extra $$. What about Georgetown Gray?

I didn't see the picture you posted when I posted my first response. I think you should definitely go dark, it will tie in your black shutters and make the red brick pop. That's too bad Slate Blend isn't offered in VA. While the flecks of red would go nicely with your red brick and door, how do you feel about Pewterwood or Georgetown Gray? Georgetown looks like it still has a warm hue.
