Replacement can be tricky depending on the exterior. Siding is usually simple. Masonry or stucco is a different story. Both are labor intensive and some thought needs to be planned before starting. Also the level (1 or 2 story) needs to be addressed. Now that the exterior..the interior finish needs to planned with the wall thickness. If you can observe or get instruction on this procedure, it would be very helpful ...ps windows can be very heavy.

Have a few installed professionally and watch closely and take photographs, then decide if you can do it yourself. Don't play the guessing game with your house.

The real "trick" to installing windows is very careful measuring as these windows are custom made. We had 25 windows replaced 4 years ago. I am beyond being handy and after watching the removal of the old windows and installation of the new ones, it is not something I would take on knowing what I do.
