Simonton and Gorrel

Okay,

I have narrowed my search to these two window manufacturers. I am looking to replace 10 double hung windows, two picture windows and one patio slider door.

How does the Simonton Impression series with 366 low E glass package compares to the Gorell 5300 series, with Thermal Master III?

Background info:

Gorrel came at $11,650 dollars (not negotiated) for 5300 with Thermal Master III, triple pane and krypton gas in both cavities, U= .22, 50 Years transferable warranty on material, except when accidentally broken by the new owner. The contractor AJ reliance is giving a 10 years workmanship warranty. Without the slider the window comes out to be around $900 per window. I really was impressed with this window.

The Simonton, the supplier recommended the contractor (Mom and Pop type). He only quoted me for the 5500 reflection with the 366 glass package, wich gives a U value of 0.30 at $400/window (not negotiated) to a total of $4,800 without the patio slider. He could not give me a quote on the slider patio door at the moment or the 9800 impression series. When he gets back to me again, he is to provide an estimate for the Impression series, see if they come in 3 panes and a lower U factor, basically around 0.22, and the patio slider. He told me the warranty is lifetime warranty and that it was tranferrable.

Is it okay for me to assume that the impression series might be an additional $100/window or at most 200/window. He showed me a mock-up of the reflection 5050 and I was not impressed. I hope the 9800 does not look the same.
