Wow! A relative just installed an Andersen's Series 400 Frenchwood hinged door and I do not remember seeing such horrible work on their doors. After years of using Andersen on our homes, we have never had one problem with them. It is extremely unlikely that Andersen will ship a door like this, it is wild!

It almost seemed like someone took apart the door, fixed the glass and then did a spectacularly lousy job of reassembling it.

You may want to contact the installer and ask him/her, contact the shop where you got the door and ask, go to a shop and look at the same model door and also call the Andersen warranty number and tell them what is happening. Andersen is normally very good with their support. If nothing else, they may be able to tell you what might have happened.

You should have ZERO issues getting this one resolved. That is awful, but not typical from Andersen.

Two Andersen representatives visited our home two days ago and inspected the door panels. Upon seeing the poor workmanship they immediately ordered two new panels to be replaced and installed under warranty. Glad this was resolved in a timely manner.

Although you experience with Andersen product was atypical, you did experience what Andersen is known for- their exception customer service. Having sold and installed many thousands doors and windows over the years from various mfgs, one thing is constant - everyone has qc conflicts occasionally. Andersen by far goes out of their way to resolve these better than any mfg I have ever dealt with.
