I love the blue willow! I think the legs look a little bare.
Maybe just painting them blue would solve it. or maybe the bigger flat glass globs in dark blue on them. yeah I think that would be pretty. I like the edges of the top and bottom personally especially since the top has that detail.
But the white grout and the white legs kind of take over. But then again, its not my piece and its lovely either way.

I love anything in blue willow! Has anyone ever done a bowling ball using it?

I find it hard to come by. I had to take a plate off the wall to finish it. I am getting a lot of FREE old vintage/antique china though. A friend of mine has 2 antique stores and one is quite large (2 story with lots of vendors) and someone is always breaking something. So far there has been no blue/white.

The bare legs give a visual break to the mosaic. I say leave it bare and btw, it looks great!

I love your table just as it is! I agree, blue willow is hard to find and even at the cheapest ts's it's more expensive than the rest of the china. You did a beautiful job on the placement of pieces.

Thanks everyone. I took it into photoshop and tried the blue in different shades but it didn't look good to me so I think I'll leave it. I have looked through everything including jewelry, angels, etc. etc. to maybe put on that bad place about even with that bottom shelf. I think it is some kind of bad repair but it is kind of rough. So far I've not found anything in my junk that would work. Thanks for your input!

I would do nothing further to it, as it looks great! I have a blue willow for a bird bath, just waiting to find a cobalt blue substrate for it.

Willow looks good with white grout. White is primarily for that shabby, cottage, indoor look. There is nothing better than white for that look, any other color would have drowned it badly. I use only white for all of my shabby items, but for outdoor, never....LOL

It's beautiful! Your blue willow brings back wonderful memories from long ago when my Mom had some china like that. Very, very pretty!!! I like it just the way it is!

I love it just the way it is. Beautiful job! If the rough spot is bothering you, maybe you can just do some sanding and/or wood filler there and then touch it up with the white paint.

Been a long while since I posted but have lurked every day. LOVE LOVE this table!! If you dont like the idea of painting the whole legs but want to break up the white, why not try painting the "valleys" down the legs in the same blue as the plates. BUT... it looks great just the way it is! Very pretty!
