creating concealed door

I have a 1930s house with too few closets. I want to move the orientation of a hall closet to open instead into the master bedroom (which has no closet at all). I will have the hall access closed off and want to do a "phantom door" or concealed door in the bedroom, as the entrance to the closet is in an awkward position on the wall.

What considerations should I have in finishing off the edges of the door? What about hardware? I was thinking of using recessed pulls (I don't care that it is completely concealed) somewhat similar to marine hardware. Ideas? Are there websites out there that have information or plans? Books?

Thanks
