What kind of wood is the counter tops? and is there any special care that needs to be taken - besides no hot items or knife marks?

Hi ~ these countertops are 1 1/2" thick Pine in a custom stain color with a clear top-coat finish. To care for wood countertops clean any spills as quickly as possible. If these spills stain and penetrate the top-coat finish, sanding and refinishing is always an option. If the stain is below the top-coat finish and cannot be sanded out, try food-grade mineral oil or lemon juice to pull out the stain, then refinish the countertop and it'll look like new again.

Hi jdavis. The kitchen walls are painted with Sherwin Williams' "Universal Khaki" (SW 6150). That color works really well with the white cabinets, trim, and ceiling, doesn't it? By the way, the cabinets and trim were Sherwin Williams' ProClassic interior enamel in "White," and the the ceiling is Pittsburgh Paint's "Milk Paint" (314-1).
