Holiday Exchange

I guess I feel like I have a little explaining to do, (LUCY!!) I really wanted to be part of the exchange, my project was mostly done and the last time I was able to check in,(SAT.) the exchange hadnt been mentioned. I recently started on daytime at my job, which after 3 years of nites has been a big change. I used to be able to check in any time during the day AND had time after work when family was in bed. Got housework done in the day. All of which I now have to figure out how to cram that plus homework and boyfriend into 4 hours. NOT COMPLAINING! Its just a new thing TO ME. That all being said... I was disappointed to find out I had missed out on this exchange, I took for granted that because I was on the list of people who said they were in that I was "IN" and will definetly look forward to the next one and pull my head out of my $#&(@#& and check in more often. Sorry if I caused any trouble. Cant wait to see what yall made!! I dont always post, but I'm still here!

Hey why don't you and Kelly exchange?

I e-mailed you about that today. You and Kelly should swap,
    if she's done too.

I'm game, if its ok with Rosemarythyme and everyone else.

That would be sooo cool! I don't like anybody feeling left out! Life should be a bit flexible! I am a crazy gal this time of year with wanting "perfection" in things! And am the kind of mom that lets the kids go to bed so I can REdecorate the tree! This year I have the flu and humbugs (don't care about a tree, decorating, gifts, just another day) in the house and don't even have a tree yet! My gift exchange will be late for some poor gal, but hopefully I'll be forgiven! Jane

You're already forgiven sweets. So sorry that you're sick.

calamity - don't feel like the only one on the tree! We got ours up day after Thanksgiving....silly us...thinking that a 4' tabletop would be best what with a 17 mo old toddler and 3 kittens of varying ages around....the tree lasted less than 24 hours! The little fuzzy ones knocked off the ornaments, the older fuzzy ones have taken naps on the branches and bent them all downward, the little one figured out she could reach the tree skirt and pull it closer to her...final straw was DH coming into the living room yesterday morning and finding one of our OLDER cats clinging to the top like a treetopper! So now it sits forlornly on the table, bare of all but lights, waiting for DH to re-decorate it Christmas morning! LOL....gotta laugh or I'd be screaming off into the sunset this year!

PAT, that visual is just too funny! Did you take pictures??? I'd love to see them!

No, DH was too mad at the cat to even think of doing anything but screaming at her! I was still asleep - he caught Gracie at about 5:30AM. Can't believe everyone but ME sleeped thru his yelling! By the time I got to the livingroom, the cat was flying down the hall to escape. Course, that's the first question I asked him - did you get a shot of it?? Took a few minutes for him to calm down enough to let me know he didn't even think of the camera sitting conveniently a few feet away.
