It's close rgps, only a few more weeks. The fireplace is further along than this, but here's a pic in progress from last week. If anyone remembers, the fireplace was the thing I lost the most sleep over. I didn't want very rustic yet not too contemporary. I like to decorate with white flowers and crystal or glass candlesticks so I went with a light colored stone that wasn't rustic. We have a beautiful,very large Mendota firebox. Will show pics soon.

I just LOVE all the windows around the FP.

I've got to decide if I want drapes made for those windows flanking the fireplace for color/texture or leave it alone.

When the room is done I'll post pics for help.

Its beautiful. I would say no drapes either, but, for sure, I would wait until you get all your furniture in place, and then see, how it looks and feels to you.

It's beautiful, and I can't wait to see even more of the inside. I love the wooded setting, just make sure you clear enough trees around the house to keep mildew and lichen at bay.

I'd definitely do drapes...nothing adds softness and drama to a space like that like full length drapes...like these 22' long cashmere panels!

Oh Annie, I love the photo with the sheers! I think I have to do something on one of the walls. When the home is complete, I will post more pics for window treatment suggestions. The wall to the left of the fireplace is completely windows and a set of French doors. With all those windows on 2 walls, I really think I need something. I know the outside view being filled with pine trees is beautiful, but I don't want it to look cold inside, I want something to cozy it up. I don't want to spend a fortune though.
