I bought this comforter set as shown and silk curtains in Brown. What color should I paint the walls specifically. I am horrible with this kind of stuff. I have off white furniture that i hate but cannot replace at this time

I spent more than i should have on this but I got it half off on another site. I am afraid i will mess up on the paint

Take the pillow sham to a ben moore paint store and match that blue exactly. It will look great on your walls and the off white furniture will stand out nicely against it too.

I agree with Budge1 - take it into the paint store. Blue or brown would be very pretty - depending if you got the brown euroshams & your lighting.

I tried to post a pic of it so others could see but it zooms....but here is a link.

I like your new bedding very much. Paint is alot cheaper!!

I love the color of the wall in that ad!

I agree my first choice would be to match with the blue in your sham, but if you are looking for something more neutral I can see a cream color also looking well. What type of flooring do you have in the room?

Something along the lines of Benjamin Moore Waterbury Green would look gorgeous! I have some pillows to return that are very similar but they don't work w/ olive so I am returning them. I matched them up to Waterbury Green & I was in awe!

he floors are right now a nautral stained pine but will be pine stained red oak when i save up a few more $$$.
I figured a blue , but which one???
If I took to the paint store would they really be able to match it? I didn't know they could do this. I do plan on getting brown shams too.

If you really do not like your furniture, I think I'd concider painting the walls behind the furniture to match, so they disappear, and then add the colors you like above or on the trim. Do you have a headboard? What style do you want for your room? Is painting, decopoage or covering the furniture an option? You have exquisite taste, drawn to the bedding you purchased, it is beautiful, pattern color and style! I'm sure everyone would like pictures to help you more precicely.Give us more clues what you want the end result to be and we will all do our best,we love decorating!

My realy ugly, real begging to be painted bedroom. I would like it to be classy and cozy. The curtains are on backorder so i could go with another choice

Well, you already have a great start on a classy, cozy bedroom with that gorgeous bed! Wow!

Yes, Auntjen, isn't that bed Fabulous! I'm tempted to glaze the furniture the colors of the bedding. Matdrew, what pieces in this bedding collection will you have to work with? What color sheets do you plan to use? Your bed is absolutely your focal point so what color does you eye go to first when looking at the spread?

I bought the whole set including the brown coverlets and shams. I did get brown sheets as well.

my nightstands are damaged. The kids wrote on it with permanet marker, maybe I could glaze those?? I don't know what that involves.

Love your new bedding. I agree with taking the sham to the paint store and matching that blue. It will be stunning.

Could you share the information about your bed? Is it iron? Who makes it? I am looking for a bed for a guest bedroom.
    Thanks.

I like the blue Horchov used in their room. It would be beautiful with your gorgeous bed. Maybe you could paint your night stands another color - a deeper blue or even a pewter or a blue with a silver glaze.

Wow, I love your bed and your dressers! You certainly can fix the damaged night tables. Get a can of Zinser BIN primer, which is a stain blocking primer. (shellac based, so use it in a ventilated area). It dries very quickly and two coats should completely cover the permanent marker with no worry of it bleeding through. Then you can paint with a latex paint, and you can also glaze if you want. There is a glazing medium available (I bought mine at Home Depot),and all you do it mix a little glaze with a little paint (directions are on the can), and apply the glaze where you want it and wipe off with a slightly damp cloth. It's easy and would look fantastic on your lovely furniture!

My bed is made by elliot designs. I can say it really really well made . I have 4 kids(3BOYS) and they jump and climb the bed everyday. I have had the bed for over 7 years.

If i choose a more muteed blue like the one pottery barn has in their brown and blue dining room this fall. would the two differnt blues look bad?

Another wall color to consider is RH Flax. The mocha color would work well with your new bedding also!

what about this color? Its from the pottery barn fall catalog. the page with the blue and brown dining room.

not sure how it would be if the blue on theduvet is different from the one on the wall. what do you guys think.
