Probably too narrow. You could certainly make your own with some non-sew iron on tape. I'd go find a fabric I really love and make my own.

I agree, too narrow, and depending on your bed size, 72" may be too short as well.

I like bed scarves too. When we stay at Marriott hotels, they always have them and they really pop against their fluffy white comforters. There is an on-line Marriott store and when I looked about a year ago, they sold them there. They're pricey, but might be good for inspiration.

My reasoning for something at the foot of the bed is for the kitties to have an extra space to lie on. The fact that it adds to the design of the space is lagniappe.

Before I changed bedding for the fall I was looking for a table runner for the summer bed. World Market had a couple I was interested in. I think they were 16" x 90". Right now I have a folded throw on the bed that measures 24" x 70" in its folded state. I still plan on buying a runner next spring.
