soapstone suppliers in Canada/Saskatchewan

Hi all,

We recently decided that we want soapstone instead of granite countertops for our kitchen remodel (white shaker style cabs, red oak HW floors) but are having no luck in finding a supplier in our area (Saskatoon, Sask, Canada). One of the local granite people said he could get it in, but stated that it was from Italy and, from what I can surmise from my research here, is Pietra de Cardoza, not soapstone.

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this thread is still going but for our fellow Canadians...we used a company called Greensville Soapstone (www.greensvillesoapstone.com). They are awesome! I believe they are affiliated with M.Teix. Service was great and stone is absolutely beautiful. We have Barocca and love it love it love it!!!!

Hi, We are using N+G Soapstone in Uxbridge, Ontario. Maybe they can ship to Sask. Also, there is a company in Quebec, Canadian Soapstone. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Doubt you will get a response as the last activity was from 2012. The link posted though for Greenville still functions. So might want to check them out.
