I've got my plumber coming in two weeks to hook up new faucet (I'm supplying it), new sink (I'm supplying it), under-sink in-line filter unit (I am supplying it), new disposal (he is supplying), and moving DW from one side of sink to other. It will cost me about $600-$700 for that. I know you're not doing as much, but that might give you some idea.

Eek.. I was hoping it would be low. Thanks for the reply!

Anyone else care to chime in...? I looked on google and it seems like it is an av of 85 an hr... or under 200 if supplying disposal.

In my very low cost area of labor, to do a "wet area" hookup, (sink, DW, disposal, faucet) is $350. If you need two visits, one to unhook before countertop installation and one to hook everything back up after the countertop fabricators have done their thing, then it's another $100 trip charge, plus $1 a mile if it's over 30 miles from the city center.

I ended up having to get my plumber out yesterday at my contractor's request to trim down the supply lines so the cabinet wouldn't have to be hacked up as much. Plumber said since he's coming out again in a couple weeks to hook everything back up, this first trip was a freebie. I do know my plumber has taken a hit with the economy and is trying to build up good will, which is why I think they didn't charge for yesterday's trip. It literally took 5 minutes.

We have two guys here right now, charging us 325.

We had another guy here this morning, tried to tell me 1,108. Crazy!
