I do have a drawer under my Miele induction. I don't think we cut back the sides - I'll get DH to take pictures tonight and I'll post them. We store glass and ceramic baking pieces there - nothing metal or anything sensitive to heat.

Thanks! I was planning to use it for cooking utensils, so none of them would be heat sensitive either. Do you ever notice the contents of that drawer getting hot/warm?

I have 2 open drawers under mine, more like sliding shelves.

Here are the pictures of my drawer immediately under the induction. I haven't noticed if things get warms in there - probably a little, but not much. I'll try to check it out next time I'm cooking.
