Kitchen Backsplash advice

Hi all I need some help

Not sure what to do here. My kitchen sink is in the corner and there is no window there or cabinets. I am looking to put in a backsplash and I don't know if I should continue the backsplash behind the sink and just put a cap of some sort on it or stop it with the cabinets.
