I took a piece of my Maple Cream cabinet filler to Lowe's and had paint matched. They did 3 quarts for me and let me choose the finish and tone I thought matched better. In my opinion, it's perfect. About $8.00 for the quart if I remember correctly.

I bought a gallon of white mixed to match a door panel once my cabinets came in and had to debate between satin and eggshell for the closest finish. I needed to match the crown in the kitchen to what is in my breakfast room and family room. We figured this was worth a try first on white cabinets -- we could always order matching paint if it didn't work.

Our crown goes from roughly 9-1/2 feet to 10 foot ceilings, so you don't see it at eye level or even close. On an 8 foot ceiling and with the crown only across the top of the cabinets, it could be different. It won't cost you much to try though. Get a quart and test it. If it looks too off, buy the custom mix and know you needed it.

thanks for this experience...I need to touch up some use ware on some edges of cabinets...sounds worth a try....at minimal cost! I have thomasville, I think cotton...will take a door with me....thanks!!

Can i see an image of your Cotton kitchen? Ours just arrived and we just can’t nail down a countertop and wall combo to go with the creamy warmness in the white. We are thinking white on white on white. What did you do @trixietebaldi
