However, you can use something like this from Pottery Barn to take away from the dated look. It's form is still complimentary to your couch but looks fresher and more up to date. Just an idea. It comes in quite a few colors including a deeper beige.

Thank you all for the feedback! I think I will go with the Pottery Barn styled chair because then when I upgrade the sofa, I can get something more in style now instead of being stuck w/ an out of date styled chair.

Thoughts on the color? I am thinking I should do darker so it does not stand out like a sore thumb with the sofa....or blend in to my taupe/ tan walls! What do you think?
