Did you try calling any hardware sources? (Lee Valley, etc.) They might help point you in the right direction.

Otherwise, can you countersink the holes for the pulls, so that the 'legs' are inset a bit into the drawer/door? (This might limit your options for changing the hardware at a later date.)

Or, can you saw a bit off the end of the legs, or ask your installer or someone at a hardware store to do it? The ends might need to be sanded so they don't scratch, and you'll lose some of the threads. Depending on how deep the threads go, if you saw off too much you might not have a good grip.

Thanks, chicagoans. I haven't called anyone yet but that's a good idea. Countersinking the legs or shortening them are both possibilities being considered. This is an install that my DH is doing. The homeowner didn't have a kitchen designer but relied on the cabinet maker for tweaking her plan and he obviously didn't account for this tight corner and hardware issues. My DH is kicking himself because he reviewed the plans and didn't catch it. Generally he is the one catching the future issues before accepting a final plan, too. He's playing around with spacing the cabinets differently and a small filler piece may be necessary but that's a better option than countersinking into veneered doors.

Unfortunately I don't have any recommendations for a source. I am only posting to say that countersinking the posts on a bar pull will be much easier, and ultimately a better solution, than shortening them. Getting them shorter, even, and dead flat, all without damaging the finish is harder that you might think.

DLM 2000, I have the same problem and probably for the same reasons (lack of planning in the corner). Your solution of countersinking into the drawer may be a lifesaver. This is for the drawer front in front of the sink that just pivots to get at some sponges and, as such, it doesn't have to be perfectly usable for the fingers.
