Is overlay about how much frame shows between the closed doors? Does it affect the storage inside? I'm looking at yorktowne (gc likes it) platinum level (to get the ball bearings in the drawer glides). Do you specify the overlap when you order or is it built-in? do I get a choice? Oh wait- I found a clue - it says full and standard overlay - whatever that is. Does anyone know how much gap is with standard? I'm looking at a medium/dark wood heavy carving old world kind of mood, so does that dictate overlay? Does overlay affect drawers?

The semi-custom mods page talks about extending the stiles to put a piece of trim down the side. I like that, but I would rather the cabinet was bigger, and the door smaller to allow room inside.

I wonder if it would be cheaper/prettier to get the standard overlay then put trim down the seams. (In my dreams it would be like carved rope, but that might be too much. Something more elaborate than half round but less than rope, that matches a door style.)

Of course, we don't actually have many adjacent uppers, so it may be moot. It might be nice on the top of the pantry. See how my simple questions devolve into daydreams!
