Questions for Flash407

Flash, I didn't want to hijack your thread with your beautiful kitchen photos - and they really are beautiful. It gives me hope because our design is so very similar - same cabinet run on stove wall, all the way to ceiling, glass on top, solid below, same L formed by peninsula, same black counters (except ours are soapstone) and the exact same faucet! May I ask a couple of questions about your peninsula because we've really been wrestling with how to deal with ours...right now it is set up to be bilevel, the idea being to "hide" the cleanup area from the dining area and to essentially create two separate spaces, but more and more I'm liking the idea of keeping the kitchen space as open as possible. I like how your peninsula is all one level. With the deep farmhouse sink, I guess that is possible. How wide (or deep, I guess) is your island (I don't mean the length of the short leg of the L, but rather the distance from edge of sink to the far edge of counter by the chandelier.) And do you have cabinets under the counter on the eating side (I didn't see any.) Is there an overhang for stools? Any information you could give me re: the design and intended use of your peninsula would be greatly appreciated.
