Faucet help needed!

Hi all,

I have been one of the silent readers of this forum and have learnt quite a lot from all of you.

This is our first house and we have started our kitchen remodel. We bought a 10" deep stainless steel sink (under mount) and we need to decide on a faucet in couple of days before the quartz installer comes for templating.

I think I like the ones with an attached sprayer and a soap dispenser. It will be nice to just have one handle for the faucet. Because my kitchen is kinda small and the sink is pretty deep, I think I don't wanna consider the tall curvy pull down faucets.

Could you please give me suggestions on brands and models that fit my description? More than looks, I am very much interested in their performance and durability.

I was looking at the following faucet : Price Pfister 532-7PSS. Do any of you use this brand and do you recommend?

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Prasanna

Price Pfister has great looking styles, but the experience we had with that brand was very poor. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and neither would any experienced plumber. We installed one 2.5 yrs ago, we have no kids, use is minimal. The soap dispenser has broken twice and the sprayer no longer functions. Junk. Try a Moen, Delta or Kohler. The prices for many of the styles aren't deal breakers and the quality is much much better.

I've heard good things about the Moen Aberdeen, although I didn't buy this one myself. I wanted a separate sprayer personally. But I think the Abserdeen is very pretty!

Did you buy a D-shape sink or a rectanglar? I too think the goose neck faucets are pretty big.

It is a rectangular dual-bowl sink (33"). The kitchen ceiling is pretty low (only 7.5 ft) and the sink is pretty deep - so don't wanna go with the long necked ones to avoid having something "too big" and avoid splashing.

I too love the look of the aberdeen and vinatta, in other people's kitchens.... I got a DELTA SAXONY which is similar in appearance and function to the one you describe. I have had it for about 6 months or so and love it. I got it in stainless.

Here is a link that might be useful: delta saxony

oops. meant to add- that I also have the coordinating soap dispenser, and that the "escutcheon" which is that long plate, is optional and I opted to NOT use it.

    Hi First_home_owner,
I contemplated Price Pfister's Marielle, too. The Delta Saxony was also in my top 5 list. I also liked the Kohler Fairfax, the Danze Opulence, and the Moen Camerist. After creating my wish list, I did the research, took out the ones that were out of my price range, made a spreadsheet of the features, and then ranked them based on how important the features were to me.

Then I asked for DH's input and we ended up with the Moen Camerist and I LOVE IT! I love how it feels, how it looks, and how it works.

If you choose to buy online, make sure you go to some show rooms to view and touch the faucets in person. It makes a big difference!

    HTH!

(the escutcheon plate is option for all of them)

    Moen Camerist

    Kohler Fairfax

    Delta Saxony

    Price Pfister Marielle

Thanks you very much sheilaaus122 and gardenburgher for the info!

    gardenburgher,

we looked at Moen Camerist in Home Depot and we liked it. But, the stainless steel finish looks kinda "yellow" - not sure if this will go with our stainless steel (regular finish) sink!
The chrome on the other hand is very shiny.

Do you happen to have a similar combo?

Generally, which faucet finish looks good (or atleast goes) with Ticor Stainless steel sink?

    Thanks again!

We got the stainless steel Camerist for our anthracite Silgranit sink. I'm afraid I don't notice any yellow undertones because it's not next to any other stainless.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck!

We had a Price Pfister (Parisa pullout) in our old kitchen and had no problems in the 5+ years we used it. We have 2 children and used it a lot. As a matter of fact, my brother took the faucet and installed it in his kitchen and it's still going strong...no leaks, no finish issues, etc.

That said, we went w/Kohler products in our new kitchen...but more b/c of looks than anything else. Our faucets are the Kohler Vinnata for the main/cleanup sink and Kohler Fairfax for the prep sink...love them both! As an aside, we paired both faucets with Kohler's "Traditional design (Clam shell packed)" soap dispenser. (The main sink also has an airswitch for the GD.)

    Missed the second question....

We have a Ticor main sink and have brushed nickel fixtures and they look fine together. Our prep sink is a Kohler SS and the brushed nickel Fairfax also looks fine with it.

    Here's how they look together:

Isn't the Kohler Vinnata a high faucet? I just ordered my Ticor sink today, I went with the rectanglar because my sink cabinet is only 30 inches and I was afraid the D-shape was going to look all sink. Actually the sink is only 21 inches long and 15 3/4 width. Does anyone here have a goose neck faucet with that size sink?
I am looking at the Kohler Forte faucet. In fact, I am going to Home Depot now to check it out.
