I'll check that out, thanks Judy. It right in the middle, inside, front. I found out that the offending person dropped a jar on it. It's only maybe 1/4-1/2 inch each way. I'm also wondering if they make some kind of repair kit. This MUST happen. I'll call the plumbing supply store tomorrow and see what they know. So sad.. my pretty sink!

He charged $50.00, but my chips were more extensive. The corners of the sink were popped right off! He had to build new corners with bondo. Your dilema doesn't sound as bad. I'm glad to hear the chip isn't "staring" at you because of the location being in the front. You should be able to get that fixed, or fix it, rather easily : )

I was instantly reminded of the Family Circus cartoon......"Somebody" did it, and it was probably "Not Me"!

The Franke repair kit would probably match the color the best.
Maybe the local plumbing store that sells Franke sinks carries it. I'll give that a try before ordering on line.

Continues to amaze me that Shaw's continues to advertise fireclay as scratch and chip resistant. My fireclay sink has scratches and several chips. I've NEVER had that happen with ordinary porcelain sinks! The material is not as sturdy as regular porcelain-on-steel that costs a fraction as much.
