how do I re-do msg to get replies sent to e-mail

When I posted my request about one door or two, I failed to check the box at the bottom that would cause replies to be sent to my e-mail. Is there a way to do that retroactively?

    Unfortunately, no.

You can have your email enabled in your My Page page, so that people can click on your name, and then will be able to email you directly. You must do the following four things; if you didn't do even one of the 4, your email won't show up in your My Page page:

At the bottom of the Kitchens Forum page, click where it says "Member Services". Then click where it says "Edit your Personal Information, Page and Preferences". Then, log in, and do the following:

    1) Type in your email address in both boxes.

    2) Near the bottom of that same page, there is a pull-down menu for "Show my email address to", that gives you the option of "None" or "Members" or "All". Click on "Members", and make sure "Members" stays in that view box.

    3) Where it says "allow other users to send you email via forms at our site", click on that box (a check appears).

    AND

    4) Click on the box that says "Save your Member Profile".

Again, if you omitted any ONE of the above steps, your email option will not appear on your page.

You do not have to show your email address to others. The only 3 things you need to do to get replies sent to you are:

    1. Have an email address in your profile

    2. Allow others to email you

    3. Click the box that says "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you." when you post your original message (the one that starts the thread).

"Save", I hope, is self-explanatory! If you don't save, obviously none of your changes take effect!

The only one that you cannot do later is #3. The other 2 you can do at any time.

Thanks guys. I already have it set up so I can receive e-mail from GW members. My problem was I posted a question and neglected to check the box to have responses e-mailed to me automatically. I was hoping there was some way to correct that, but, alas, there doesn't seem to be.

Thanks for the information - I had checked the box on some of my posts and they never went to my inbox - hadn't had the time to figure it out - followed the instructions here and wahlah, emails now there : )
