I agree with white as well! Otherwise I think it would stand out too much.

I agree with the white choice for switch plates on the backsplash. Any other metal or color would probably bring too much attention to them. I just posted a very similar dilemma, but my backsplash isn't white.

Subway ceramics makes ceramic switch plates in the same color and finish as their ceramic tiles: http://www.subwaytile.com/elements.shtml

Looks like an interesting option for switch plates if one wants to get all matchy. I wonder if other tile manufacturers make something similar?

For now, we have white plastic switchplates in our original 1928 subway tiles and they look fine.

calypsochick- I also have white cabs and your same coutertop super white , right? I was wondering if you think carrera marble field tiles would look too busy with this countertop? Also, as for your switch plates, go with white!

mtv20--My countertop is called Moon Night....maybe it's called Super White as well? I think our granite was calling another slab Super White, but all these names are confusing. I think they at least do look the same! I love Carrara field tiles, but I personally think it would've looked too gray overall and the backsplash would compete with the gray countertops. Do your counters have a lot of movement? If so, I think it MAY be a little busy with the Carrara, but it depends on the look you're going for.
