I would open every door and drawer.

Mom Mom moved last year, and I put painter's tape on every door and drawer, with a general description of contents. It saved a LOT of searching, until she got used to where things were in the new space.

I'd also recommend putting things away gradually. Some things will be obvious, but others not so much. When I built a new kitchen, I thought I knew where everything would go right away, but ended up doing some shuffling when it came down to actually using things.
