Where to start for office lounge?

Looking to turn our 2nd office into a warm lounge style room. We'd ideally like a couch, a couple chairs, drink cart, bookshelf, desk, area rug (to cover up this horrible carpet), stuff to hide the walls, and decor to tie it all together.

Room is about 10x11 and budget is anywhere from 2-4k depending on how great the stuff is.

Why not hire an Interior Designer to help you? I would think it's tax deductible, as a business expense.

Being tax deductible isn't the issue when you only havr $2-4K to spend. The issue is getting the most for your money, and that doesn't go far.

Buy the office furniture you have to have to start with, and with anything left over you can buy some pictures or plants to add personality to the room.

A one or two-hour consult can direct the OP to colours, textures and furnishings (as well as where to purchase) for the space with the budget in mind. Seems like a good use of limited funds to me.

Thanks all! I didn't get notifications about these (hence the late reply). We went with an interior designer for this commercial space and I'll post some pics when it's done.

We decided to go for a 4k initial budget with 2k-3k in bonuses throughout the year if we do great. The interior designer budget is separate from this and cost about 1k. Super happy with the way it's going so far.
