Not liking the orange. Try painting some sample boards of some other colors and move them around the room. I am not generally fond of accent walls in a large space. SW Nomadic Desert might work.

Great space! I don't think the room needs an accent wall color. I like the contrast of white with the ceiling/floors. An interesting wood coffee table would look nice as well.

Ok, thanks Deborah. The other walls in the room are painted BM Bone White so perhaps the orange wall would just be best painted to match those. It's just tall and rather boring and serves as pass through to adjacent rooms.

I just think there is too much orange (between the wood tones and paint). Don't distract from those gorgeous views!! The other views of the room look very calming and soothing with the light walls. Such a lovely room without the accent wall...

I ran across this today and liked the look..then thought about your fireplace since the room is so wonderfully spacious.

Thanks Darzy but the enryway leads right into the room and furniture in front of the fireplace makes it feel a bit closed off. We've tried it that way but thanks for your suggestion.

It is a long room so perhaps the end sitting area can be set up with a rug to help delineate it a bit, possibly with some orange and other colors in it, and with a related textile, handwover rug or blanket, or big piece of art on the accent wall.

Perhaps you would like a lighter color, like a yellow, gray-blue or maybe even a green to go with the couch instead.

Its nice, just looking a bit bare. Maybe some plants and accent pillows would be nice too.
