Our fireplace was to be a big focal point in our living room. I submitted photos of a mantel that liked and this is what we ended up with. Who builds a mantel the same length as the fireplace opening? The original corbels in my pictures we about 16" long and we now have ones that are about 6". Do we start over from scratch or can there be something done with what we have?
