Is it possible to find a nightstand and dresser to put next to each other on each side of a headboard? Or is that not done?

Why not skip the nightstand and use a wide, low dresser on each side instead? That's what I've done with mine. But if you have room for both, I don't see any reason why you can't do what you propose.

It's your bedroom, so you want to put a nightstand and dresser next to each other, whose business is it buy yours? Don't let arbitrary design rules prevent you from setting up your bedroom the way it works best for you.

I do not see a problem with it as long as you like it. I would have too see what other furnishings that you have in the room and the size and shape of the room before I would give the idea a thumbs up.
