Group row quilt

My small quilt group started a new row quilt this summer. I found the pattern for the quilt in McCall's quilting magazines from 2005. I changed the pattern for my row but I think everyone else is following the original pattern.
Do you like to work on group quilts? Putting all the blocks or rows together when they are made by several people can be a challenge but it can be done successfully. Extra background fabric on the ends of the rows can work wonders! lol

What fun! I like the idea of hearts.

Many years ago a few friends and I wanted to make a special quilt for our behavior analyst. We used children much like this pattern, but dressed the children and changed the skin color to reflect some of the most difficult students she had helped us with. It turned out well and she instantly recognized each student. I was so pleased to see it grace her facebook page again recently. It's been almost 20 years and she's still enjoying it.

Love the kids blocks. Would make a great quilt for a little one who is preschool. Not babyish, but playful.
