Where did you get the seashells for the fireplace?

I am interested in doing the same thing for our fireplace. Is this custom and who did it?

This is a custom piece by a mosaic artist in Providence, RI. She collected most of the shells herself on local beaches. They were supplemented by shells purchased online. They are approx 2 1/2" wide scallop shells.

The shells were set with some type of tile adhesive and then grouted.
