how do you prevent the iron from rusting in the bathroom? or can you?

We had the door metalized and painted with water resistive paints. I can't remember what the exact paint was.
A quality iron fabricator and painter should be able help you out. This door has been in for the past 10 years and still looks great

the home is beautiful - question if I may please - I have a kitchen that is large - plenty of cabinet space etc. not anything like what these photos depict, but large nonetheless. I have a 10 x 4.3 island I plan an designing, end to end if would be 12 x 4.3 with curves -- I want perhaps a 48 inch range top at island - other side would have 4 stools, range top side would have drawers to utensils, right side warming drawer and single ref drawer - my question is - would the 48" range top be too big for the size island. I think the room can carry it, and it would have a 54" inch vent/hood with wood on-lay above --- pretty big, but still think room can carry it -- will this scale nicely, or should I downsize to a 36 in cooktop -- I can go either way - love to cook, used to own a restaurant but don't want that in the equation... why did it mention it then? well it seems people want to know how the kitchen would be used - so I know how to cook, love to experiment and minimal entertaining even for the size home I own.....your thoughts please???????
