HELP!! Furniture and TV Space Planning

Need some ideas with space planning! The construction of our new home is almost complete, however now realize that the placement of the TV and furniture layout in the great room may be a problem.
Do we put the TV over the fireplace or on the wall to the right? The distance between the fireplace and the overhanging bar countertop in the kitcchen is less than 10 Feet and that doesn't account for the space for bar stools. Therefore, centering any furniture to the FP would be difficult. However, having two focal points doesn't seem right either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would probably have the TV above the fireplace, if possible. Then, float a sofa in the room perpendicular to your fireplace and exterior patio door wall. Put a sofa table on the back of the sofa. On the other side, nearer the kitchen and opposite the sofa, I would put two club armchairs.

The seating is then facing and flanking the main focal point - the TV and fireplace.

Get a console for the long wall with a pair of buffet lamps. Hang a nice large art piece above the console.

Mounting the TV above the fireplace would help eliminate the two focal points and keep the traffic from walking in front of the TV.

Do you plan to use a casual dining table in your great room near the kitchen? Or will the great room be entirely lounge seating?

Thank you for your feedback! Since we have a formal dining area, the area next to the kitchen can be used either as informal dining OR incorporated into the great room seating arrangement.

I would consider putting the television in a cabinet or on a console on the same horizontal plane as the fireplace. This will allow you to hide the cords and accessories behind the television. It will also protect the television from fireplace heat (heat rises). In addition, it will more comfortable for viewing, as you will not have to tilt your head back to look up at the television screen.
I have attached two photos showing fireplaces and televisions in the same horizontal plane in a room. It seems to me to make it easier to look from one to the other (like reading). The space above the fireplace is where the eyes can go to "rest."

^ That idea is nice but won't work since the fireplace is flanked by patio doors as shown in the floorplan.

But it could work if one of the doors was eliminated.

Will need to keep tv over FP. All low voltage wiring and equipment will be hidden from view. Thought ahead and had cabinetry (with fan) and wiring installed ahead of media placement installation
