Change Paint on this wall?

last month

I feel like the paint on this wall is a bit too yellow for the cabinets. Should I paint the wall Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore or White Dove, or leave it as is? I am also considering continuing the subway tile to the top of the cabinets. Thanks

    Yellow/Green undertone vs Gray Greige?

If you don't want yellow, then Swiss Coffee is out. How about a close up of the countertop?

Is the hardware brass or silver tone? The subway tile above the stove is appropriate, the tile backsplash at the sink could go 5 rows high to be even with the range backsplash. for a similar look. Not higher... where would you stop?

I'd replace all the switch plates and outlet covers on the backsplash to white.

For sure, paint the ceiling a high reflective white to brighten up the space.

Have you considered painting the walls a soft green?

I think the color you have is good.

Will suggest that you do paint the walls white to provide more contrast with your cabinetry. Right now the pale yellowish color of the walls just looks weak and almost sickly. White would brighten the place up a lot.

Match the paint to the subway tile. Match new outlet covers to the subway tile, as Lyn Nielson suggests.

I would not do another white. White needs light to bring it to life and you don't have enough light to make it shine. Getting a white that works with the backsplash and the cabinets is going to be tough since the white backsplash is a bright cool white and the cabinets are yellow pink. If I were going to do white I would probably start with testing Shoji White and Do Shoji White at 50% for the ceilings. Why? Because Shoji has a tiny touch of pink and is soft enough that it won't look like a mistake next to the bright white tile. It also has a bit more color that will stand up in the low light better than a bright white.

I think with your counters I would go with a green wall color. Evergreen Fog, Escape Gray, Soft Sage, Oyster Bay - something in the blue green gray space rather than the more yellow greens like Clary Sage.

Order samples from Samplize.com - so much easier that painting your own samples

I also suggest a green as SW soft sage which is a gray green. White walls with the white backsplash and very light wood cabinetry will only give the room a washed out effect. You need a subtle color on the walls to give the room some character. A A soft green will also enhance your lovely countertop

I’d match the white of the tiles and paint all the walls and the ceiling for a fresh, light feel (adding tiles may not be worth the effort). If you want to add more color, add a mat and if you have an appropriate wall, some art.

I am thinking about painting the walls Edgecomb gray or revere pewter. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't. It doesn't appear to have a lot of natural light and gray will just suck the life out of the room. I would color match a backsplash tile and paint the walls in an eggshell finish.
