Hi Michael. I am a fan of your work. I tried to steer clear of Shaker Beige (people would mention it was too pinky), but I think that is the best beige that enhances my Brazilian Cherry floors. Also, I would also like to know what finish you used for your paint.

Michael, thank you for sharing your expertise with everyone! I was wondering how you feel about Shaker Beige for the main body exterior of a traditional home. In your opinion would the natural light decrease the bit of red undertone people seem to comment on? I am looking for a medium tone "perfect " beige. Need to pair it with a light cream trim and a dark brown for some mediterranean/spanish style beams. Roof will be brownish/black Any other suggestions are appreciated :)

I love accessible Beige by Sherwin Williams, it's a true taupe that doesn't go pink....

Im glad to see Im not the only person noticing pinkish undertones in some beige shades of paint. It would be nice if they would actually tell you the ratio of colors mixed in the paints. That would help me anyway, determine which mix or shade I would use.

The shaker beige on my walls has no pink undertones whatsoever. If anything, the very first color I notice while first rolling it on is yellow. However it definitely looks like milked down coffee as Michael says once it is dry.. Its lovely. There is No PINK lol!
