I'm thinking maybe art on the walls? New arrangements on the furniture? It just seems ordinary and I was hoping for much more

anyone have suggestions?

Love the dog, and that you let her get her beauty rest. I'm thinking maybe some drapes with a pattern might help, and some more art on the walls.

There is a lot of clutter and very little that wow's me. I nice new bedspread in a light color woudl really make a difference as well!

I think you aren't "feeling the love" because everything is the same tone. Find a spiffy round brass mirror for above the dresser....need to break up that dark furniture. A couple of colorful prints in each side of the dresser. Keep the dog print accent pillows....but get a quilt/comforter in a print....you can keep the curtains, and use their color as a minor color in the new bedding...not the major color...but just a touch of it. Put the long mirror inside a closet...don't need that many mirrors. Hang it on the back of the door. A taller lamp on the bedside table with a lighter shade....brass maybe to bring the brass from the mirror over.

what is on the right wall, the side the dog is sleeping on? its the only wall not pictured. if that is an open wall the bed needs to be turned to that wall. so it faces the dresser with the mirror.
change the drapes to something much softer, less intrusive. more blending with the wall color.

Thank you everyone! I will work on getting rid of some of the clutter, I will post some more pictures tomorrow to give everyone an idea of the rest of the room. I love the idea of a bedskirt, I hate seeing the lower mattress! I also will start looking for a mirror for above the dresser- are we thinking round? or rectangle/square? The wall that isn't pictured has a tv, and small table on it. I will post the picture tomorrow so you can get a full view of the room.

Move the long mirror out. Center the dresser and add art over it.

Remove the square mirror and replace with large round one.

New bedding and lamps.

Is there a wall that the bed can be centered on?

This is the last wall. The bed really can't be centered on that either, mainly because my husband insisted on hanging our television and now we have a lovely cable hanging. The blanket you see in the picture is really just for warmth- it's about 6 degrees here in ny so I like to have a little something extra to keep me warm! @Pcmom1 I love the images you added! It makes me want to get a rounded mirror tomorrow and get rid of that awful square one that came with the dresser!

Can you switch the placements of the two dressers and put the shorter one opposite the bed with the tv mounted above it?

Good idea to put the taller chest right under the tv. Top it with a small plant to hide the cable. If that is too crowded, try playing around with bed placement. Even try the bed coming out at an angle from a corner.

I have had our bed on each wall and out of two corners. Don't be afraid to slide that furniture around!

You might even take one of the night stands away and use the long dresser in its place.

I think you could keep the mirror you have if you put a lamp with an interesting shape on either side of it. With drum shades. Mercury lamps would add some bling. De cluttering would definitely help.

OK, so tonight I am moving the taller dresser under the tv to try and hide the cable. I have removed anything that doesn't really belong in the room and I will post more photos later to show you! I love the rounded mirror idea, I will be looking tomorrow to try and find one that I like- I figure I will try homegoods because they usually have the best prices!

I moved the tall dresser off the wall at the foot of the bed and put it under the tv, which left a lot of open space. Then i moved a small table and chair to the foot and I have to relocate the mirror, but I wanted to show a little progress. Do we like this? I'm thinking about getting one more frame to go under the other one for more balance and so it doesn't look like its floating.

Painting the walls a soothing neutral, and then choose to paint the wall behind the bed in an accent color can be a great, inexpensive way to add style to a bedroom.

The most important thing in the room is the bed. The bedspread

isn't working. That should be your focal point but it's not even covering the mattress. Don't add anything until you get the bed right.

Agree with Ole Gray Mare that the room is too monochromatic. The curtains with grommets are really modern but your furniture isn't. Curtains are dark and make the room dreary and heavy looking. Good idea from Gerry to put the TV over the chest of drawers.
