I'd stay away from blonde bamboo and go for something stained in a richer color that will make the kitchen pop.

It would really change the look of your kitchen, if you would paint your cabinets and trim white - all your appliances are white. Your cabinets have a very golden stain which won't look great with gray walls. I would paint the cabinets and trim white, paint the island a charcoal gray, paint the walls a light or medium gray and put down a dark hardwood floor. When you replace your appliances change to stainless steel.

I think a color pulled out of your backsplash for the walls and get some dark wood floor samples. Have fun!

Hi - Gray for the walls is not complimentary to the colors you have going on now. Gray is cool. Your cabinets read yellow so your choice of bamboo flooring is a good one - warm tones. I agree with above to pull a brown tone from your back splash. The black counter height chairs would ideally be replaced with wood (however switch to white chairs if you can not change the white appliances). Right now the white appliances and the black chairs read black & white while everything else is earth toned. Think autumn. The white appliances are a bit distracting so look into economically refacing them if you can't change out to stainless. Hope this helps you make the rooms flow a bit better. :)
