Hard to guess your style, but here are some quick ideas. A footing form cut to height and filled with concrete would make a stable base for not much money. Once the concrete cures, cut the form away and voila! Otherwise, you might be able to find an old iron table base in a second-hand store that would be heavy enough. Garden centers often have various height columns in "stone," too.
