Guest Bathroom Vanity

We are preparing to completely redo our guest bathroom and I have almost everything worked out except for the vanity. The sink portion is currently 48" and the tower is 18" wide. My issue is the bathroom feels so tight right now and I would like to open it up a bit more. I am contemplating replacing the vanity with just a 48" vanity and no tower. Any other ideas for opening it up a bit? This will eventually be our son's bathroom as he gets older.
