Any experience with Corian DeepColor line?

We'd like to have black/blackish countertops and LOVE the idea of having a seemless connection between the countertops and sink. I'm told that dark colored corian shows scratches, which is obviously why Dupont recently came out with the DeepColor line. Anyone have experience with this line? Also, if you have a story about a Corian sink breaking--or not breaking--from owner use I'd love to hear it.

Horrible product. Scratches and melts. just glorified plastic. Recommend Quartz or granite. Never never Corian under any circumstances.

I hate it. Scratches. Not good. Go granite, soapstone. Anything but that.

Huh. I lived with Corian countertops about 12 years ago and loved them, but the counters were white, so scratches were never evident. Loved loved loved the built in sink. We only lived there for 6 months so I didn't have to deal with the product long enough to notice any problems. I appreciate the comments!

Oddly enough we have the Corian seamless countertop sinks in our washrooms at work - shared by hundreds of people over a now 15 year period (since the last remodel).

Granted we are not cooking in there (I hope not, anyway but you never know...) Not a scratch on them. They look brand new even though the nickel plating is wearing off the brass fixtures due to the continuous cleaning and polishing. The seams are....still seamless!

I can't speak to corian but I would check out soapstone - counter with soapstone sink looks beautiful
