Yeah, been in that situation. NEVER NEVER AGAIN with room mates...finally!!! Pretty sad when other people can't control themselves.I never had to did this, but came very close, but heres an idea anyway...replace all cab handles with loop ones, then put a chain thru with a padlock. Don't go with decorative chain as that can easily be clipped...i'm talking about pit bull chain, but even then, the weak link is the door handle itself . Then worry about the hinges. Yes sir, any crowbar will easily take off any kitch cab door on the hinge side. Pretty scary i know so much about being a thief w/out being one LOL

Hi. If you have a hallway or linen closet, it would be easier to put everything in there that you want to keep away from renters and find a padlock for it or modify its handle than to re-jig several kitchen cabinets and sliding doors.

Does anyone have specific locking mechanisms to accomplish securing the slider doors or kitchen cabinets. Looking for nice looking hardware that does not degrade the aesthetic of the rooms. Thanks

Usually what I see is a closet door with a deadbolt lock. I don't know how you could really secure a kitchen cabinet.
