We need to run quite a bit of wiring around our new apartment for t.v. Phone etc. We're considering having the walls notched, but it will be a very extensive and expensive project. It's an older building and the walls are mostly plaster.
Is this really my only nice looking option?

I've looked around the Internet and have been disappointed to only see options that look like plastic or just cheesy.

I would do new baseboard or chair rails, but only if it could look nice.
